It's not about age, it's about maturity. I could handle a car like that at 21 because I already had a healthy dose of respect for vehicles.

I wish I had had the chance to handle something like that at 21.
That said, you're correct about maturity... but I'll add to that experience. In my personal case, that was experience gained on two wheels, (really) starting around age 14. That's when I started riding my bicycle with the local cycling group. By my 15th birthday, I was doing centuries (100 mile rides), and probably riding 5 days a week.
There's something about being out there, with no illusion about being an invincible teenager, that teaches you to genuinely look and see everything going on. Situational Awareness is a must, and you quickly learn to expect everyone to do the most inconvenient thing possible for you at all times.

so what i got from this was....natural selection almost always come through...this is an almost....AND, those cayennes are pretty safe...neither had their belts on but were not injured. I need an SUV too...
